Trying to set up a product option to allow the customer upload an Image.
Image types are all enabled.

after more Googling I finally found a solution..
I reinstalled the same version of OC again and it fixed the issue...
Apparently some files just didn't upload 100%

Just upgrded to the latest version of OC.
But the autocomplete isnt working at all, when I type into the autocomplete box nothing happens..

i don't see a file size limitation in the upload feature of opencart options. What's the error you are getting then? I don't want to limit the upload size.. I want to ensure large files are allowed.. I take images for printing... Up to yesterday I had no problems but a photographer ordered a print and the website refused the upload... Its a large file so that is the only reason I can see... I think I remember seei...

I am having this exact problem too..
Total is at 0 until I go to last "confirm order" section of checkout, when it re-directs to PayPal the order total is there again. This is a recent install, only 2 weeks ago..
Any ideas would be welcome..
