Gift Voucher Redemption Issue with Checkout

Hi,

I am running a cart on version 1.5.1.3 and came across an issue that I don't know what to do with. If I have a customer use a gift voucher on the site, their total comes to $0.00 at checkout, but my only option I give for payment is Paypal, so they have to run through Paypal to complete checkout. When they get to the Paypal site, the total is there again - the amount that was credited by the voucher in their cart. Am I missing something? There has to be a better way for these customers to check out than to run a 0.00 transaction through Paypal.

Huh? So you don't want the total to be 0.00? Obviously you can't send a 0 balance to paypal so....if there is a problem with your totals it would be that it's not updating correctly before sending to paypal.

I am having this exact problem too..
Total is at 0 until I go to last "confirm order" section of checkout, when it re-directs to PayPal the order total is there again. This is a recent install, only 2 weeks ago..
Any ideas would be welcome..

you need to enable "free checkout" payment module.

Thanks, Caolei. I was looking at that as an option, but I was unclear as to what that payment module does. Does it only show as an option to customers if the balance in the cart is zero?
