Re: Some images not appearing

Are there any differences between your demo server and the live server? E.g. different PHP versions? Or different OpenCart extensions? Or different OpenCart versions? I informed the hosting company who manages both servers and they say nothing is different but I still think this is the cause and th...

This is most likely an issue of Journal3. The latter is not a proper standard-compliant OpenCart web theme anyway! You got 3 choices:...

Re: PHP Notice: Undefined index: in /public_html/system/library/cart/currency.php on line 25,27,30

The problem is probably not the currency library itself, but whatever code is using it and is not passing correct parameters. First double-check all your currencies and their codes in System > Localisation > Currencies, to make sure they're all correct. Also make sure the conversion values are corr...

PHP Notice: Undefined index: in /public_html/system/library/cart/currency.php on line 25,27,30

Opencart version 3.0.3.1 Currency enabled: Only EURO I keep getting the following error and my error.log file is full of it. It becomes huge in size and I face disk capacity issues. The fix could be to set a cron job and delete it periodically or disable error logging. But the right solution is to f...

Re: Disk usage: tmp folder

How much deeper do you want? The article explains all ;) Deeper means deeper. So, if you understood from that article what values 1 and 100 do for the variables session.gc_probability and session.gc_divisor respectively, you can explain to us. Thank you. There are three variables that need to be se...

Disk usage: tmp folder

On my Opencart root folder (v 2.3.0.2 on php 5.6) the tmp folder is quite big enough and is getting bigger. Now it has reached about 500MB.
What is its use and how can I handle it?
Could I set a cron job to clear it periodically or set some variables in my php.ini files?

Re: Order numbers - Date Added and Date Modified

By default, orders are ordered by order_id in ascending order. And to remove the confusion you can look for an extension that fulfills your need or you can customize the default opencart functionality as per your need. Yes that's right. The sorting is done according to the Order ID and not the Date...

Re: Order numbers - Date Added and Date Modified

I noticed that this happens when Paypal or Cash on Delivery is selected as payment pethod.

In COD I have one order where Date Added and Date Modified have 4 days difference. How can this happen? What callback could last 4 days in somebody's browser?

In a paypal order 3 days difference.

Re: Order numbers - Date Added and Date Modified

So, to make things clear: Date Added = The Date the products were added to the Cart AND later were finally purchased? If yes, then the sorting in Sales->Orders list is done according to the Date Added. So, as you understand, in a shop where there over 100 orders daily, some may not be even visible ...

Re: Order numbers - Date Added and Date Modified

It would be better if it was called "date_cart_created" and another column for "date_order_placed" but does it matter to your business for some reason? So, to make things clear: Date Added = The Date the products were added to the Cart AND later were finally purchased? If yes, then the sorting in S...
