Hi All

Newbie here.

I was trying to install a new theme and I think I deleted something I was not supposed to in cpanel and I managed to break the entire site.

I get this error on the homepage:

Error: Error: Could not load model extension/opencart/total/sub_total! File: /home/justheav/public_html/system/engine/loader.php Line: 148 Backtrace: 0 File: /home/justheav/public_html/catalog/model/checkout/cart.php Line: 116 Class: Opencart\System\Engine\Loader Function: model Backtrace: 1 File: /home/justheav/public_html/system/engine/loader.php Line: 343 Class: Opencart\Catalog\Model\Checkout\Cart Function: getTotals Backtrace: 2 File: /home/justheav/public_html/catalog/controller/common/cart.php Line: 31 Class: Opencart\System\Engine\Loader Function: Opencart\System\Engine\{closure} Backtrace: 3 File: /home/justheav/public_html/system/engine/loader.php Line: 112 Class: Opencart\Catalog\Controller\Common\Cart Function: index Backtrace: 4 File: /home/justheav/public_html/catalog/controller/common/header.php Line: 102 Class: Opencart\System\Engine\Loader Function: controller Backtrace: 5 File: /home/justheav/public_html/system/engine/loader.php Line: 112 Class: Opencart\Catalog\Controller\Common\Header Function: index Backtrace: 6 File: /home/justheav/public_html/catalog/controller/common/home.php Line: 31 Class: Opencart\System\Engine\Loader Function: controller Backtrace: 7 File: /home/justheav/public_html/system/engine/action.php Line: 96 Class: Opencart\Catalog\Controller\Common\Home Function: index Backtrace: 8 File: /home/justheav/public_html/system/framework.php Line: 259 Class: Opencart\System\Engine\Action Function: execute Backtrace: 9 File: /home/justheav/public_html/index.php Line: 20 Function: require_once

There is nothing on the dashboard when I am in my admin panel but if I look through categories, products etc thats all still there

when I go to extensions and try see themes there are 0, even the default opencart theme is gone

I have tried to restore a backup from the admin panel and it says it completes but nothing changes it still gives me the same error and I have no dashboard.

I am starting a new business so I dont really have funds to pay someone to do these things for me so I have been mostly trying to figure it out on my own with the help of google and ai but I think I deleted something I wasnt supposed to

I have tried to re-upload the opencart files to the public_html folder on cpanel but that isnt fixing it either - it was something in that folder I deleted.

If anyone can tell me how to fix I would really appreciate it

Do you have a file here
It's saying it can't load the model, not the file.

So I suspect the wrong PHP version is selected.

Having said that, I suggest you start again with version 3.0.4.1 which is the version most developers recommend at this point.

Install 3.0.4.1 you can find it here https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... ad/history

Opencart 4 has many bugs and it is definitely not advised for a beginner.

You can find a full tutorial from Cpanel to Settings here ==>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nA6fST8uMXw

Opencart documentation can be found here ==>
https://docs.opencart.com/en-gb/getting-started/

It covers all the basics you need to know and it is probably worth bookmarking

To fix that specific issue you can just upload the original file back - but something has gone wrong for it to be missing - so in addition to the bugs that are already present you have another issue and if one file is missing then you will have to reinstall anyway from a trusted download - ie the link above and any other even via your hosts quick link "versions"

I would also advise you ask your host about backups - check they are automatic and check how to do them yourself. Back ups are files and database. Make sure you understand and are able to do both yourself.
DO NOT RELY ON THE OPENCART DEFAULT BACKUP
