I 've been having a problem that the shipping seems to default to Priority Mail, and first class does not come up as an option for my customers. I've tried turning off priority mail as an option and leaving just First Class "turned on", but it still doesn't appear. A lot of my orders are under 6 ounces, so customers are getting over charged for shipping by having to pay the priority flat rate.

The First Class Package rate was discontinued a few years ago and is now called Ground Advantage. See this topic for more info:

If it's not appearing in the Extensions > Shipping area, it's probably not installed correctly. Try reinstalling it again, and once it's appearing in the Extension > Installer area, make sure you click "Install" in there. That will make it then show up in Extensions > Shipping.

If you still have issues after that, please contact me here for support:

Thanks! it turns out I'm also migrating to a new web host. So I'll try again once things are transferred.

I'm seeing usps_pro.ocmod.zip listed under "install history" on the extensions install page, but still not in the shipping extension options. I tried deleting it and installing again, but seeing the same thing.

I tried installing OpenCart 2.3-3.0 Versions.ocmod.zip and that is now showing up in the shipping extensions, but it's not showing up in the shopping cart after I added the USPS ID.

Now it's showing up -I missed that I had to select the mailing options. But it seems I have something wrong with my USPS ID so I'll look into that

Glad you got it installed. For the USPS ID, make sure you're using a WebTools ID, which you get here:

I got a confirmation Email from USPS "Rate Calculator API permissions have been granted." but when I try to place a test order I'm still getting "Authorization failure. Double-check your USPS Web Tools ID."

Should I clear the caches on the extensions modifications page?

My website migration is complete, so I can look into this again. The error message I'm getting in the shopping cart is "API Authorization failure. User 3V16ROSEP7569 is not authorized to use API RateV4"
I replied to the Email from USPS saying my account was approved and included this info.

It sounds like they may need to activate something on their end, so hopefully the email will do it. If not, please contact me here for extension support:

Whatever USPS reloaded seems to have solved the problem. Many thanks for the help.
