Just curious.
What do you all do when you get a delivery of stock?
Do you go to each product and change the stock level?
Add them in the database direct?
Or is there some better way to do it ?

All of my clients update their stock levels manually. You could use a stock control system of some kind and link that to Opencart via an api call. I've not come across anyone who has done that. Others may have.

there used to be a mod you can add to the admin side of the website so you can edit the totals from the products page and save rather than going into each product and changed it one by one, but im sorry i dont recall the name of the mod, worth a look on the market place.

found it : https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... it%20stock

I'm reading up on stock control systems. You could link one to Opencart. If every delivery that came in was barcoded with the product details and numbers you could scan the barcode and your site stock levels are updated. However, I'm supposed to be working and can't afford to get sidetracked. :)

There are a number of ajax powered product list editors - they let you edit the products details without having to acutally open the product edit.

Just google "opencart ajax product editor" and take your pick. Some are a fair bit of money but if you have to edit products regularly then it's life changing!

We do them manually.
But we also drop ship and we get a file we download from our wholesaler and we have a script we built to read their inventory file and update the quantities. (Which BTW that script isn't good for anyone else as it has a lot of "us" focused code)

found a upload and download to excel extension which is also free, so double win. With that we should be able to do it a lot easier, it has also meant uploading all our products has also been easier. I have only done 2 categories and am already almost 400 products so that has saved me so much time.
