Okay so Im experiencing an issue that has caused my site to completely disappear and leaving me unable to log into my store. The last time I did anything on the site was 2 weeks ago where I just added a single new product which I confirmed had worked immediately after. I have just logged in to update stock levels and at the top of my admin login page I am seeing the following error message:-
Warning: session_start(): open(/var/lib/php/session/sess_9mtn8f1cp1bj20ulh40700trp3, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13) in /var/www/vhosts/andysmotorcycles.com/httpdocs/system/library/session.php on line 11
I just checked my sites home page and it is completely down.
I am not at all savvy when it comes to ssh or anything like that, I know how to login but thats it so if anyone can offer any support Id be more than appreciative. Many thanks.
File permission is wrong and most likely it's the system folder or the system/library/session.php file itself.

Don't leave files set to 777! More than likely folders should be 755 and individual files should be 644 depending on your web host.supermiff wrote:I use filezilla for ftp but have never been able to use it properly for ssh. SSH Is a secure connection vs. non secure and I'm guessing that you aren't using the SFTP login screen with Filezilla when you use SSH credentials.

Can someone help me with direct steps how would I fix that error? I have no clue what it means and how to go about fixing it. I cannot log into my admin as well. It just happened and I was not even on the site.
I have access to c-panel - is this is the place to go and get it fixed. What do I do.....can someone help me????
