And while I've never seen it done, I would bet that if A started sending mailers to the person who bought from B using A's payment processor that a judge would agree that since A took the payment that the customer legally was A's.
I've been in the gift business, I've had carts and kiosks in real malls, sold in flea markets / car boots, sold to consignment shops, etc. I've dealt with these (mostly) ladies, although some are hardly ladylike. Many are mean spirited and petty and I have no doubt they are the same online.
It's no big deal to me, just trying to warn you of the real world. Everyone all hugs and kisses one week and at each others throats the next.

That might well be true in situations where there is no contract between mall owner and seller. However, in a court of law, any contract between mall owner and seller, as well as the order details, would be the primary determining factors in any decision made by the judge.peteVA wrote:... They may have a contract, but it is meaningless to the card processors. Whoever takes the payment is the seller and the buyer is their customer.

That makes any further agreement null and void, I would think.
If you do not have a real merchant account yourself, find someone who does and read the contract. I specifically states you cannot process payments for others. That means one of two things, the customer is yours or you are violating your merchant agreement.
And with PayPal you also agree to honor all the terms of the Visa, Mastercard, etc. agreements.
You can do whatever you want, people who want it badly enough will use it, but it's wrong if you do not allow each seller to process their own sales. You will be offering a product that is in violation of the card processor's merchant agreements.
Doesn't matter to me, but potential users should understand the risks. It is simply against the rules to process sales for others and you can have your account closed for it. That is the bottom line.

No, you continue to overlook the fact that the mall owner is taking a commission, therefore the payment processor IS processing a payment for the mall owner. Subsequently, no violation of agreement.peteVA wrote:You continue to overlook the fact that the mall owner is violating their agreement / contract with the card processors.
You also seem to have overlooked what I said earlier:
I'm merely taking a "devil's advocate" approach here, trying to point out that there are other issues involved.fido-x wrote:Having said that, I must admit that I do agree with peteVA's comments regarding payment and shipping issues, and these are "reasons" why I haven't released this yet.

1- is there a way I can set pre defined categories to choose from such as; fashion, electronics, etc?
2- how could that designer upload their templates to the mall server to be downloaded?
3- can you explain in depth how the commission system work?
It's one great plug-in no doubt. Thanks FidoX for a great work

When you create a store, a category for that store is created in the "main store" (default). This category is "owned" by the store owner (in your case, "designer"). The store owner (designer) can create any category/sub-category they wish. These categories/sub-categories, if attached to the default store, will appear as sub-categories to their category on the default store and as categories on their store.Maansy wrote:If a designer wants to sell their own templates on my mall,

It is feasible that, as the mall owner, you can create a pre-defined set of sub-categories. However, the current setup will not allow the store owner (designer) to access these sub-categories, since they are "owned" by the mall owner. There is no method for allocating categories to a store owner (designer) at the moment. It is up to the store owner to create their own sub-categories. You can, however, allocate any existing products to a particular store owner, which will then be detached from any existing category and attached to the store owner's (designer's) category and store.
The same way that you do already. Each store owner (designer) can only access their own downloads.2- how could that designer upload their templates to the mall server to be downloaded?
Haven't started on that yet.3- can you explain in depth how the commission system work?

If you wish to be a beta tester, you will need to create an account at my site (http://www.fido-x.net), then submit a request for an account upgrade (use the contact form). If your request is approved, your account will be upgraded to "Beta Tester", at which time you will be able to purchase the Store Manager. That's right, I did say "purchase". I'm not giving it away -- even for testing. Those who are approved as beta testers will get it at a (slightly) discounted price.

I am interested with store manager you've created.
If I buy it, and after I put it on my store, it needs some modification, would you modify it for me based on my request?
Do I have to pay for those request?
Thanks,
