I am having trouble getting the reward points and gift certificates working. And i am wondering if I am doing something wrong? I am testing this in a fresh clean install of opencart 1.5.03
When a customer buys a gift certificate, the person who is supposed to receive the gift certificate never received the email telling them they have it once I have confirmed the order. (email system is working as the user who purchased gift certificate gets a confirmation email). Do i need to manually create the certificate and email the customer with it?
Also when a customer purchases a product with reward points, after the order is complete the reward points are not shown on their account? Is this something that I need to manually add for each order?
I will appreciate any help. Or should I submit this as a bug?

I think it should be fixed in 1.5.0.4. The changelog says nothing about it though.

I have tested out reward points in my system and they work. If you are wanting to "apply" reward points to a customers account after they purchase something, there is actually an option within the "orders" in admin for you to add the reward points to their account. All you have to do is click on the green + sign and the points are added to the customer account. They customer will be emailed as well. If you are asking about if the customer is paying with reward points, then there should actually be an option at check out that asks how many points they'd like to redeem. It's located in the Shopping cart NOT on the checkout screen.

You can also manually add points to a customer account in SALES - Customers - select customer record - and click the REWARD POINTS tab. Just give the reward a description (i.e. "Frequent Buyer reward"), enter the number of points and click the ADD REWARD POINTS Button. The link to redeem reward points will not show in the shopping cart unless the customer has enough to pay for the purchase
me too, I'm using 1.5.1 but I still can't see any redeem link even there's enough points to cover the purchase. Hope someone enlighten us, thanks
The redeem points appears under the estimate shipping section in the shopping cart

I haven't modified any of it yet..I'm using a different theme and switch it to default template already..still no link appears...
i figured out why the redeem voucher link and all won't show up..gosh..such a naive..i overlooked extension-->order totals, they were all disabled
