SEO Rewrite function is bad!!!!
Hi All We have just been playing around with some site map stuff and realised that the seo rewrite has some significant issues in performance. So we improved our little version somewhat.... To give some numbers, to run a singular query: select * from opencart_url_alias where 'query' = 'product_id=1'...

Re: Website very very slow
Look at this as a decent fix....
https://github.com/shaman/opencart-mysql-cache
Easy to implement and free.
We also use iNitro by iSenseLabs, which I have to say is very good.

Bug (?) - Cart Cleared on Checkout when in a Customer Group
Hi All Noticed a bug (which I believe it to be) which can be replicated by the following: Shop setup, customer approved, and in a customer group which has different prices from the default group. On checkout, and then login, the cart is cleared rather than re-calculated, which is a bit mean on the o...

Re: Products SEO not working... (Categories are)
It looks at if I have duplciates in the url_alais tables
I tested this by changing a SEO keyword to something else and it started working.
Will look for a bug fix for this, to raise an error, rather than returning a 404

Quick update: Found this:
https://github.com/shaman/opencart-mysql-cache
Dramatic increase in speed, which poses the question
1) What issues might i come across in using mysql_cache
2) Why isnt everyone using this?
Thanks for any input

Hi All We are moving into the latter stages of this site, and have had major slow downs. this is on a shared server - intentionally to test it - it will be on something much faster for production. Re: Product Collections / Groups (similar to Manufacturers)
A very viable option for sure, and something I had over looked a little!!
Would mean putting in some exception in the main menu (which lists all the categories, but nothing to major)
Ill explore that idea, but still open to a dedicated module also!
