Wrong Pricing

Hello,
I am new to this forum and opencart. First of all i am amazed by the simplicity and power of this piece of software. Way to go.
I have an issue. I have setup a new product and set the price to $24.99 USD but from the front end i am seeing $47.46. I have set not to include tax into price in the settings section.
I have sorted out some problems with the themes for 1.2.8 but have no idea where to post the code.
