Good day house, just installed the open cart on my domain but will like to remove the footer link, is there a license towards that and if yes how do i go about it?

Welcome, nothing is required, but it is a common courtesy to make a donation any time you remove a copyright under the GNU public license.

To donate go to this page: http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... d/download and in the right column under "Support the Project" click the Donation link.

To remove, in file catalog/language/english/common/footer.php find this:
$_['text_powered'] = 'Powered By <a href="http://www.opencart.com">OpenCart</a><br /> %s &copy; %s';

and change to:
$_['text_powered'] = ' ';

I would just donate to them right away. They have created an awesome free program and they don't care if you use it for free and remove there links. You guys are awesome!!!!

The donate link appears to have been removed - is there a reason and can I find it elsewhere?
