contact form makes problem

When i put correct smtp information in mail settings. i am unable to get email. and when i put wrong username in smtp setting i got mail but with empty body.

with correct smtp information when order is placed email is received correctly, but making problem in contact form. i am unable to get email with correct smtp settings.

plz help any body or some idea about this error ?

Have you tried setting this up without SMTP altogether, and just using the "mail" function?
