Do we have to feed all of our shopping cart items to mobi-cart, or can we feed just certain items?

Thanks

That will depend on how opencart developers want to develop the plugin. In a first instance you can just feed us your products. In the second, you could manage everything from opencart and have as many settings as you wish.

Hi guys,

Thank you very much, that's very kind of you. We are also busy preparing an ETA for the API which will be ready a few weeks after the launch.

Then its really a case of organising the opencart community as we would need a strong group of developers to build the plugin between opencart and MobiCart. What we want to achieve is to have a 'Mobile tab' in the opencart admin so everything can be managed through there and not via MobiCart.

We will of course be on hand to help with this and will provide very good documentation.

I guess my question is, how best to organise some developers from this community to work together if needed?

Also FYI once this integration has been done, the plugin can be sold or given away for free via the MobiCart markletplace, a place for developers and designers to build and sell extensions to the Mobicart community.

Thanks again,

Wladimir

Why don't you start a MobiCart thread for tech issues and such?

Ok and good idea. Maybe I'll wait a little longer until the API is ready (will post more info when I have some) and lets take it from there.

Do multiple people want to join in or should we just work with one or two individuals?

Hello everyone,

For those of you that missed it we launched our private beta in Silicon Valley on the 14th:

http://mobicart.createsend.com/T/ViewEm ... 1E9B895BA4

It has links to our presentation and some screenshots.

You can also find our brand new site here: http://www.mobi-cart.com

MobiCart will be released late next week to the public and soon after we will have our API ready so an Opencart integration can get started.

I wanted to try and organise a group if more than one person was interested in helping out and also getting a forum admin on board.

Can anyone guide me to who the best person is I should speak to?

Thanks again,

Wladimir

Hi Guys,

We are exited to announce that Mobicart is now live www.mobi-cart.com

In terms of integrating with opencart, we need to wait for our API which will be ready in January.

In the meantime you can still use Mobicart, but you will need to use our CMS instead of your own.

Thanks again,

Wladimir

just a quick one im guessing the API will work for products?
is there no other way than individually adding each product manually?

Hi Danny,

Thank you :)

The API will work for all aspects of MobiCart, from pulling products from opencart to MobiCart to pushing orders back up.

You can also control all the other settings such as the appearance tab right from your opencart admin panel.

It will really depends how far you want to take the API and integration.

Thanks again,

Wladimir

if this is supposed to be free what is this about $99 to submit it to apple??

i don't get this. Why would it have to be submitted to apple? i thought you could simply offer this either via our website or send to our customers to download.
