Authorize (AIM) Version 1.4.8 HELP

I am having an issue with the authorize payment module. I am running on the latest cart Version 1.4.8 and I have authorize.net enabled with the info put in

Login ID: API login key provided by authorize
Transaction Key: key provided by authorize
MD5 Hash: my own specific code name

The authorize account is listed as active under Account Owner Profile and it is in test mode along with the module in the cart in test mode. I try to do a check out with a test credit card info and I keep getthing this pop up window.......

"(TESTMODE) The merchant login ID or password is invalid or the account is inactive."

I am stumpped at this point, can anyone help? Everything is spelled correct just copy pasted everything.

did you sign up for a test/developer account or did you actually pay a merchant to set your account up and talk to them on the phone to activate? The dev account doesn't work with the module because it uses a different server address

No my customer set up an actual merchant account and went through the set up process with Authorize.

Well the error you are getting says otherwise. Be sure you are in production mode as the test mode in the core authorize.net is actually "dev", not test

Well I feel dumb now, just put both to LIVE mode and tested with credit card 4111111111111111 and it says the transaction was delcinded.

Yes thats what I did, now a pop up shows saying the transaction was declinded so now its communicating with authorize.

you shouldn't get declined if in test mode with live server. I just tried it and it was successful
