how to make enquiry?

Hi. Can anyone help me to make an enquiry? It will be for every product, or just instead checkout.. i want something like it is in virtueMart (if somebody know).. admin get email with product details, link and customer`s notes... is it possible to do so?

Hi Fresher,

You should create your own unique controller and view (template) to collect the data you want, save the info as an order (similar to checkout_confirm) and then "process" the order (similar to checkout_process). Effectively you are creating one page checkout without shipping or payment.

If you also have the BCC contribution by lev (posted on the forum, not as a contribution) then you can implement bcc to admin email of the email sent to the customer. Obviously you will have to change the email templates and text as well.

I think a few other carts utilize the "contact us" form, and autofill the subject line with the product name/model. That would probably be the easiest step is to have the inquire button click take you to a pre-filled form. Depending on how many additional fields you want to add, or if you just want to leave it up to the customer to enter all the info into the main text area.

ya, and i think so.  i think it will be the easiest way to utilize the contact us form. but how to to so, that the item number or item name will be autofilled in the form? can someone write me a code? thanks in advance.
