Hi everyone,
I'm currently setting up an online store using Opencart and would like to find out some information about the payment modules. I have been using the Paypal module on another online store I run and it has worked really well. I am happy to have paypal process all payments but really want customers to know they can easily pay via credit card (without a paypal account) through the site too. The only issue I have is that in the payment process if you would like to pay on credit card without a paypal account you have to choose the 'Paypal' method then finally two pages later (after confirming order) you have a choice of credit card payment without an account.
Is there any way of making a choice of a 'Credit Card' payment in the payment options screen and still have paypal process the payment?
The other option is using a credit card merchant but they seem quite expensive.
If anyone could shed some light on any of this it would be really appreciated, it's the only thing holding me back from opening the store!
Thanks,
Pat

no that's just the way paypal works. There is no way to streamline it. Paypal wants to make every effort to sign people up.wizardhomefitness. wrote:Hi everyone,

yes they are as far as I can tell that's just the choice you are stuck with you either pay what some would consider a hefty monthly fee for a merchant account to keep the customers on your site for credit card processing or you let your offsite payment processor attempt to force the customer (and in some cases it's not even optional like google checkout) to sign up for an account. The other option is using a credit card merchant but they seem quite expensive.

Thanks for your help.
If anyone else has any other ideas please let me know. For the record I'm in Australia so I can't use Paypal Website Payments Pro and obviously can't accept payments until I figure out a payment module.
