I want to offer a page that allows people to search a database I have. This I have created as an extension and works fine. I can add this to an information page layout or product layout.
I want the page or product to only be available via recurring payment.
How do I make something only available if the user has a subscription?
Since they would need to be logged in - add it to the account pages.
Presumably you have some customer group subscribed and you can easily check.
You can even add a link that will redirect to the login page.

The only issue I see with this is I would need customers to be members of more than one group. As I use group access for other parts of the site.

Done too much searching and written some bits & pieces myself. I think all I need now is a way to sell by subscription access to a customer group.
I found a few that sell access but not that allow you to subscribe to a customer group. To be honest I have probably just missed it.
