Automatically populate products in category, based on their filter (3.0.3.8)

Hi, have searched and cant really find an answer to this:-

Have a site with around 400 products (so not that big). All of the products have a series of filters assigned to them. Is there a way of displaying products which meet a filter value, in a product category automatically?

Example - Category = Blue T-Shits, Filter value = Blue, so when the customer looks at "Blue t-shits" category, then automatically any product with that filer is displayed?

Have create a Category and included the filter, but when you look on the frontend, the category is empty.

Not without modification. Products need to be assigned to a category to show in that category.

yeah, thats what I thought...wonder why nobody has made a plugin to do it

Also, is there a really bad reason why you wouldn't want to automatically populate a product category based on a filter(s) or event a combination of filter(s) and attribute(s)? Is it an SEO thing maybe?

Hi! This is called landing pages for filters. I recall a decent filter that did this – OCFilter.
