I need to add a lot of filter names for the opencart filter. It is not possible to add them one by one. I tried from the database tables but it did not work (My experience is limited). What can you suggest?
Thanks
You need to give a lot more detail than this: Forum Rules.berkanarikan wrote: ↑Thu Jun 19, 2025 5:03 pmI need to add a lot of filter names for the opencart filter. What table did you modify?
UK OpenCart Hosting | OpenCart Audits | OpenCart Support - please email info@antropy.co.uk
2. Dont modify database tables directly unless you know exactly what you are doing - you will cause all sorts of issues.

First of all, Sorry I skipped the forum rules because I don't log in very often.
OC : 3.0.3.8
Theme : Journal
Status : Under construction
Installed Plugin : Default Excel import / export only
I tried new filter names with Excel import, it didn't work.
Database tables I tried;
- oc_filter
- oc_filter_description
I think the All import plugin will be needed. I asked if it could be done without the plugin.

If you mean the restore - dont use that either - use CPanel / phpadmin. The built in one is not very good.
Theoretically yes, practically not a good idea.
You asked
The answer
You are guessing and we know and STILL we dont directly modify the database unless absolutely necessary .. it is never a good idea.
and no problem re forum rules - thanks for adding them. We just remind you as it make a difference in many cases.
For example: Whether your theme filters work as default you will have to ask your theme developers

However, if yours is a new site, why do you use an outdated OpenCart version? For a new live site, we suggest using OC 3.0.4.1. Also, we strongly recommend using a standard-compliant web theme, not the Journal3 framework!]
Export/Import Tool * SpamBot Buster * Unused Images Manager * Instant Option Price Calculator * Number Option * Google Tag Manager * Survey Plus * OpenTwig
As for Journal,
I bought and used a different licensed theme, the result was not good. I was curious about why this theme was so popular and whether it could make a difference, and I wanted to try it. Because competitors are using it
Thanks all
Please add [SOLVED] to the title and have a good day.
