This is a valid point. I noticed that UPS does not support developer or test accounts anymore, so I think users should consider other shipping providers.
This might be a side-bar convo... but I'd like to know how many people actually use the shipping extensions for anything more than a 'close to reality' price quote?
I know for my business, my payment processors have a free integration for labels so I use either of those and I just use shipping extensions in OC as a quote.

Just form an update: We have contacted the UPS technical support, because they don't appear to support the setup of developer accounts at the moment. Without a UPS developer account it won't be possible to upgrade the UPS extension coming from the OC 3.0.x.x core, and it may then have to removed from the OpenCart altogether.

Further to this, we'll likely have to remove the UPS shipping extension from the OpenCart 3.0.x.x core altogether. UPS hasn't been able so far to help us with the setup of a simple developer account, hence we have no way of testing their new OAuth2 and RESTful APIs. The files to be removed are these:

admin/controller/extension/shipping/ups.php
admin/language/en-gb/extension/shipping/ups.php
admin/view/template/extension/shipping/ups.twig
catalog/model/extension/shipping/ups.php
catalog/language/en-gb/extension/shipping/ups.php

The built-in UPS shipping won't work anymore. We have removed it from the OpenCart 3.0.x.x branch.

We have been trying in vain to set up a developer account with UPS for over a month, UPS has a serious bug in its card payment verification for credit cards, and it's support hasn't been of much help so far. Without a UPS developer account, it's next to impossible to implement and test required changes for the OpenCart core UPS shipping extension. If there are any users affected by it, I am afraid the only option will be using one of the other 3rd party commercial shipping extensions, more details on this can be found further above in this forum thread.

Do you (or does anyone) have any experience of using ShipStation? What's it like? Any good?

We use shipstation for years and it works great with our opencart sites.

Today 6/5 our UPS built-in extension stopped working.

We purchased the Basic UPS from Clear Thinking (who BTW is the nicest and IMHO one of the best developers here).

So far, his extension is working great and all is back to normal.

That's good to hear, we're talking to them at the moment about updating their extension for recent versions of OpenCart.

Might you be able to ask them as well when they will be supporting 3.0.4.1 etc.?

Let me know when they get it to support OC 3.0.4.1, and we can add it to the core for the upcoming OC 3.0.4.2.

sure I can ask them. We are currenlty using 3.0.4.0 and the shipstation extension we use works fine.
Is there much of a difference in 3.0.4.1

We haven't given much though to that upgrade as our store is stable and I just don't have the energy to go through an upgrade process at the moment.
