Shipping based on postal code

I'm looking for a simple extension that can retrieve information to determine if a given postal code is in a remote area. FedEx has a list of all postal codes defined as remote or less accessible locations. Currently, I use a flat rate for shipping for all postal codes. The extension should check if the postal code entered on the checkout page belongs to a remote area, and if so, add a surcharge to the flat rate. I've seen several extensions that allow you to set shipping rates based on postal codes, but with many postal codes to input, you’d need to manually enter a fixed shipping rate for each one. I’m unsure if there’s an existing extension that lets you bulk import all postal codes and assign a fixed shipping rate to them. Can anyone advise if there’s a ready-made extension that supports importing all postal codes? Or would a developer need to create an extension using the FedEx API to check if a postal code is in a remote area? I’d prefer the first option if a ready-made extension exists.

Most extensions don’t support bulk importing or checking FedEx remote areas directly. A custom FedEx API solution would work best, but I can also check for existing plugins that meet your needs.

Fedex Rates API could be used to check surcharges to be added to shipping fee.

I have check FedEx site for the list of postal code range based on Tier A| B| C for parcel and freight services.
So if you are using some extension for the same, further checkout page can be customize for order pickup/delivery to remote location.
