Hey everyone,

I’m in the process of choosing an e-commerce platform for my business, and I’m torn between OpenCart and WooCommerce. Which platform is better for scalability, customization, and long-term growth?

Would love to hear from those who have used both!

If you sell a few products on an information site Woocommerce. If want to make a webstore OpenCart.
In woocommerce all the data of your products, categories, options and descriptions are in one DB tabel and that makes it slow. Security OpenCart.

I've used both. It's Opencart for me every time. OC 3.0.4.0 is currently my preferred version.

It depends i would say.
If i started fresh i would choose woo or presta. They have their issues too but look were we are. Version 4 started back at 2022 and still not stable version. Three years now waiting for a bug free version............
I need at least 2.000 to migrate to another platform so until i found it i must tolerate Daniels never-ending buggy releases. :(
3.0.4.0 is stable and developers here doing their best to support it only because there is no stable version from 2021 when 3.0.3.8 released. Maybe they add support for php9 when the time comes.........
