Has anybody gotten it working?
1.4.8b, fresh install.
When in Admin I go to Extentions > Payment, Google Checkout doesnt appear in the list.

google checkout has never been a part of the default install of opencart. It's a seperate mod. And currently the only upgraded available is in the forums.

As regards contributions in general: Always make sure you use the correct matching release for the Opencart version.
