I have a problem with redirecting the main page on the site. How it all started, I had a problem with a delay in switching links on the site when you switched the language, for example, from English to Spanish, and the link is still in English, but the site is already on the Spanish version.
I found a solution viewtopic.php?t=219473 in this post, changing the structure of link generation and this also solved the problem of adding the language code to the url.
But after that, a problem with switching on the main page arose. It redirects to https://new.megapc.ee/index.php?route=error/not_found. But this is only on the main page. I also used the extension https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... n_id=45444. To make seo url links. I turned it off and deleted it, cleared the cache, nothing helped, htaccess is standard, I didn't change anything.
Maybe someone has encountered this and knows what the problem might be?

The function is not Opencart. Turn off your theme and check on default Opencart.
If it is not your theme check all your extensions that edit the header, turn the off, identify the culprit and contact the developer.
I suspect someone has tried to have a multi store set up per language and linked this in the language button because language change is not a redirect.

I don't think that OC version supports that PHP version, I believe it's only up to 8.1 or 8.2 - better check.

Sorry for the late reply, this problem only occurs with the installed theme, I checked this problem on the default theme, there is no such problem.
I also found out that the problem is related to switching secondary languages.
