Hello!

My OpenCart 3.0.4.0 always has this error message, The frequency of occurrence is not fixed:

Code: Select all

mysqli::query(): (HY000/2006): MySQL server has gone away in /public_html/system/library/db/mysqli.php on line 25
Based on my environment using VPS+WHM+cPanel maybe I can change the server settings to solve the problem.

Apache/2.4.62 (cPanel) OpenSSL/1.1.1k mod_bwlimited/1.4 mod_cpanel/1.4

I can change the following PHP version:
7.4
8.0
8.1

And I can edit the php.ini settings myself.

10.3.39-MariaDB-cll-lve - MariaDB Server

Can someone tell me how to solve this problem?

Thank you!

It is a response to inform you something at the service provider end had encountered a fault.
Contact your service provider.

Causes can be anything from
Something broken in your database due to some extension or other
Poorly configured servers
Poorly coded extension or themes
PHP time out set too low
Server not suitable for traffic
Cheap server and you are fighting other customers for the connection
Brute force attack
etc etc.

Contact your server.
If you can not find the cause you may have to consider changing hosts or hiring a professional - it depends on the cause and the frequency.

Such message occur mostly at cheap (and free) Providers.
Reason?
Because of limited database connections.
