I've just installed OpenCart through Softaculous and I'm getting the above message. I've not used GIT properly previously and I'm not sure how to update the editor. I didn't find anything already in the forum. What are the actual steps to replacing the editor with an updated version? Will later versions such as 4.9 work? Will CKEditor 5 work? Surely I'm not the first to have this issue - can anyone provide any guidance on how to fix it properly? Thanks

A few things first:

1. please do not use OpenCart version 4.x (any) for a live shop (only if you are planning to test).
Why?
Currently too many bugs, better to wait for 4.1.x

2. The "unsecure message" is already known and handled here (e.g.): https://github.com/opencart/opencart/issues/14032
3. don't use any installer, better to download the files from here and follow the installation instructions:
https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... ad/history

Then:

4. to hide the message see the solution at GitHub (link above)
5. either wait until a stable Version of 4.x is published (while this could be that it takes longer), or use 3.0.4.0 together with php 8.x (best option currently):
https://github.com/opencart/opencart/re ... ag/3.0.4.0
