The site is showing a full screenload of error messages but the site is visible below the screenload and it sortof works. Menu is faded out though and can't access the 2nd or 3rd level of menu. I can't access the backend at all. The error log seems to indicate that it is an extension which I purchased in 2018 called yumenu which has caused the fault. I have located yumenu.php in the files and renamed it but that hasn't helped. This menu appears to be discontinued. Site is https://executivedoorsandmouldings.com.au What can I do?

Check with your host they have not upgraded your php version to 8.

No OC version.
Not that it helps right now but you should not have error reporting turned on anywhere on a live site, it is a security risk. Right now you need to get into your back end to turn it off - hopefully it is your php version. If you can not do it quickly you will need to get into your db and do it manually, but there is a risk in that.

ALWAYS HAVE A BACKUP.
Maybe you can ask your host to put a backup as another quick fix.

You will need to downgrade your PHP to version 7.3 to resolve this. Let me know if you need assistance.

Opencart3
PHP not upgraded
I do have a backup - but can't access backend to use BackupPro to perform restore. Are you saying it is just the database that should be restored?

I have just checked and your host must have upgraded your php version without your knowledge you are running on php8.2.
I don't know which OC3 version you are using but unless you upgraded recently not one that is compatible with php8.

Contact your host and tell them to put it back to php7.4 (or php7.3)
If you have access to CPanel you may have the ability to change it yourself.
Write URGENT in the Subject of your ticket.

.. and no, as a general rule non-developers should ask their host to put up both files and db backup from the same time the backup was done.
It is a safer way if you are not sure what you did, what you are doing or the problem that means you have to restore from a backup etc.

Perhaps the problem is with the `yumenu` extension and because now it became discontinued it is even possible that the problem lies with it. Simply renaming the file to `yumenu.php` was good, but you may also need to disable or remove all references to this extension in the files of your site. Here are a few things you could try:

1. Search this extension in the database to see if it was deactivated and sometimes it can be found under plugins or options. If you do come across this, attempt to disable it via phpMyAdmin if possible to do so.
2. any other files that are associated with the modified page might also have corresponding `.js’ or `.css’ which might require to be deleted or edited this is particularly important if the content creator has access in the file manager.
