I am a currently a CS-Cart user but for the last couple of years OC keeps pulling me back to consider it as an alternative to CS-Cart.
I am looking at replacing CS-Cart on clearprop.com.au with OC and don't know whether to use v3, which as stated here is the most stable, or v4 which is the latest.
I would need:
1. Shipping by Auspost - which seems has now unsupported/disabled in v3
2. Westpac PayWay payment system
3. Product currency - default currency is AUD but some products have to be entered in USD and then displayed in AUD on the frontend based on the day's exchange rate
These are the only "must have" addons but perhaps some other small "nice to have" features as well.
So do I really need to go with v3 and have the issues of moving to v4 later including addon upgrade to v4 costs or would v4 now possibly suit my needs?
Thanks
OC 3.0.4.0 is the most stable version and has the most extensions. It includes the Auspost shipping extension.
OC 4 is still under development, subject to many bugfixes.
As regards Westpac PayWay : You'd need a 3rd party extension for this.
And for the Product currency: Have you searched the OpenCart marketplace for a suitable extension? It you can't find one, then you could find a professional developer on the Commercial Support of this forum, to have it done for a one-time charge.
