When I try to upload a file with a size of 10,434 KB in the Catalog > Downloads > "Add new" button, part way through the upload I get an error "error_upload"
Can anyone advise please?

Both PHP and your webserver (e.g. Apache) can have limits on this.

If you tell your web host, a good web host will sort this for you.

Fantastic, It was a hosting restriction as you suggested. Thanks very much (I have another unrelated question but I think I should start a new thread? I am new to this!)
