I’m encountering a problem with the checkout process on my OpenCart store (version 2.3.0.2) using the Journal 3 theme. When customers try to finalize their orders, the checkout process fails to complete, and they are not redirected to the confirmation page.

1. Temporarily disable Journal's checkout and use the normal OpenCart checkout. If the same problem does not occur, then contact Journal for support.
2. If the same issue occurs in the normal OpenCart checkout, it's probably an error in the payment method, or in the OpenCart order confirmation function. Clear your OpenCart error log right before placing an order, then check it again after attempting to place it. The errors in there are likely related.
Often it's a mailing issue, so make sure you have your mail engine set up properly in System > Settings > Mail tab. If you're using SMTP, double-check all your SMTP information.
