Hello,
i have separte sql database files for each table like product, customer, order, address from the oc version 3.0.3.1 . now I want to restore it to my fresh install 3.0.3.9. Are there any database structure changes? if I restore database file of 3.0.3.1 to version 3.0.3.9 will cause any issues?
i have installed all the extensions manually and just want to restore product, orders, customers via old database files. please advice.

You could use the Export/Import tool to copy your old products, categories, customers over to the new OC 3.0.3.9, see also our FAQ on this.kg0925 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2024 7:07 pmHello,

And use PHPMyAdmin to copy the old orders over to your new OC. Just double-check there are no DB table structure differences in your relevant orders tables between the old and new databases.

i do not have access to my old hosting server so can't download data from import export tool. my webhost server had some issue and data was completely wiped out. i have backup which I want to restore. i saw in a post that database structure is same in all 3.x oc versions. just want to double check.
any idea? how to check for structure change? i just have database backup file. and fresh installed oc 3.0.3.9

Do a file comparison of the install/opencart.sql in the two versions. There are changed related to the Google Shopping extension.
i did comparison between customer backup file database structure ( 3.0.3.1 ) and fresh install ( 3.0.3.9 ) file structure. it is showing minor difference. if I restore backup file as it is. will it cause the issue in fresh install?

Looks like the database has been modified by an extension. It might not be a problem, but it would depend on the extension.
This doesn't look a fresh install of OC 3.0.3.9. As AddCreative says, you have modified your customer DB table, adding the following DB fields, not found in a standard OC 3.0.3.9:
cart_total
cart_currency
last_visit_date
last_visit_url
accept_language
Just leave them empty.

You can use 3.0.3.1 db with 3.0.3.1 opencart files, then upgrade to 3.0.x.x(3.0.4.0)...
