I cannot add my store to my opencart account because it says:
Store domain is already registered!
It's possible that in the not-too-distant past I may have added my store to a different/test opencart account, but I don't remember doing that and I don't have any notes that I did.
How do I unbind my store from some other account and bind it to my account? I have full control over the domain name and the store contents, so it should be easy to prove ownership.

Just do a whois query on your terminal to see who the registrar of the domain is, and then contact them for help.

Where exactly are you trying to add your store? On the Opencart website (here)?

I think they were trying to add their OpenCart store to their OpenCart account so that the Marketplace API will work.
