We would say consider 2 alternatives:
1. Consider switching to a host who won't force you to upgrade such as ourselves.
2. Consider upgrading to OC 3.0.3.9 which supports PHP 8 yet still hast many extensions available. As OC 4 doesn't yet have OCMOD, it doesn't have much extension support.
