Please help, since 3 days I have been looking for a method to hide rel=canonical when robots = noindex.
I found similar threads but they don't work for me.
I am using OpenCart 2.3.0.2.

Is this causing an issue in Webmaster Tools? If the search engine crawler is respecting the noindex tag, the canonical tag should be irrelevant.

To remove canonical tags when robots are set to noindex, first, access the website's source code. Locate the <link rel="canonical"> tag within the <head> section. If the robots meta tag is set to noindex, the canonical tag should ideally be removed to prevent search engines from indexing the page. This can be achieved by either manually deleting the canonical tag or using server-side scripting or content management system (CMS) settings to conditionally remove it when the robots meta tag is set to noindex. Regularly monitor and update the website to ensure proper indexing and SEO performance.
