This is my first time posting.
We have 624 pages of Products in our Products Catalogue. Recently we found there are a few pages of products that we can no longer access from Open Cart Administration. At the same time, we've found that we can no longer add items to the Products Catalogue.
We are running Open Cart version Version 1.5.5.1.
We have not upgraded to another version as the backup feature is not working, but we would like to upgrade as I suspect some of the issues might be due to the age of the version we are using.
Any advice on where we could obtain assistance, or how to go about rectifying the issues, would be greatly appreciated.

If you just want to export your data and import it into a new version, this free extension is a good choice:homehealth wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2024 2:17 pmAny advice on where we could obtain assistance, or how to go about rectifying the issues, would be greatly appreciated.

If it's more complex than that you could pay a developer such as ourselves or post a job in the Commercial Support Forum.

Homehealth, FYI the word data, in this case, doesn't include the orders so if that works for you the import/export tool is an excellent extension.paulfeakins wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2024 7:47 pmIf you just want to export your data and import it into a new version, this free extension is a good choice:homehealth wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2024 2:17 pmAny advice on where we could obtain assistance, or how to go about rectifying the issues, would be greatly appreciated.

I tried the link and clicked on the download button, however, when I was asked to input my Open Cart email address & password, even though I was using the correct details, it kept saying invalid username or password.
Perhaps you could advise what the cost & process would be to migrate our data from its present version to a later (perhaps more stable) version?
We acquired the website & Open Cart when we purchased another business. That business knew very little about back ups, or even maintaining versions. Consequently, there are a number of operational issues with doing maintenance to the site in Open Cart or updating data. The web site however still appears to be working correctly.
My main goal is to migrate from the version we are running to what I'm hoping would be a more stable and reliable version. Currently we cannot access some of the pages in the Catalogue and cannot add products to those inaccessible pages.
Prior to acquiring the business, I've had zero experience with Open Cart, so really looking to purchase services from someone who has been there and done it before.
Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately one of the issues for me with our version of Open Cart, is that I can click on Error Logs, but nothing ever comes up on screen.
I firmly believe we need to be able to take a full copy of all data and history, then migrate to a newer version & see if that allows us to use all features again properly, however, I have zero experience with Open Cart (see one of my earlier posts as to how we acquired this).
Ideally, I'd prefer to pay someone who is very experienced to sort out a full copy of all data and history, along with the migration.
I can't comment on why your OpenCart.com logins no longer work, perhaps try the forgotten password link?homehealth wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2024 11:24 amI tried the link and clicked on the download button, however, when I was asked to input my Open Cart email address & password, even though I was using the correct details, it kept saying invalid username or password.
If you'd like to email info@antropy.co.uk with the details of your current site and what you're after, one of my team will get back to you with a quick estimate.homehealth wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2024 11:24 amPerhaps you could advise what the cost & process would be to migrate our data from its present version to a later (perhaps more stable) version?

If it were my website I would clone it in to a sub folder and try to upgrade the clone version to OC 1.5.6.5 on php 7.4. Hopefully that will get the site working well enough to plan an upgrade to a much newer version.homehealth wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2024 11:30 amMy main goal is to migrate from the version we are running to what I'm hoping would be a more stable and reliable version.
