On my main site in the admin, the image add buttons (the buttons to get to the image manager) are no longer showing when clicking on an image...I don't know when this started. The tiny javascript/ajax window (whatever it is) shows up but with no buttons on it. This happens everywhere, but I'm focusing on resolving it on the product form. I made a new installation in a sub directory and I don't have that issue with that shops admin, so it's not the server environment.

What I've tried to resolve this.
1/ Disabled all the extensions.
2/ Renamed the modification folder so no chance of any extension being looked at.
3/ Pointing the js and css file links to the new installation's js and css.
4/ Verified line for line the admin form twig or controller is the exact same between my shop and the new installation.

There is no javascript error when the page loads, or after clicking on the image to bring up the buttons. Nothing in the error logs. No php errors.

I really don't want to have to go through installing a new site. Any thoughts on what file to look at for this issue?

Make it a sub-domain instead for a start.

I'm curious too.

Either way I rectified the problem. Odd sequence of actions to cure it though, so I don't know the EXACT thing that rectified it.
1/ I backed up the shops default admin and systems directory (just in case I happened to hard code anything I forgot about).
2/ I copied the new installation admin and system directory into the shop's....problem remained.
3/ Refreshed everything including the browser's cache. This finally fixed it.
4/ Then I copied the original admin and system directory back into the shop (just in case I had any hard coded things). And the remedy remained.

All good now.
