How I will be able to keep track of which sale is linked to which group?

My company sells wreaths to schools and groups that then fundraise with them. I would like to be able to give groups the option for their customers (people who would like their wreath shipped) to purchase online through my website. The group will then receive a portion of that sale. The issue I am having is, how I will be able to keep track of which sale is linked to which group? I would like them to be able to enter a code (ex: ABC1) and then I would see that on my end and know which school/group the profit will go to. I would also like for a sale to not require a code so I am able to also sell to individuals as well.
