A standard OpenCart 3.0.x seems to be working fine with PHP 7.4.
Not in my tests.. OC needs some of its vendor packages updated for PHP 7.4 support refresh your SASS cache under 7.4 and check your error logs. Twig needs updating as well, you will most likely get spacing issues, etc. There are some fixes in the Opencart Pre-Release - Core v3.0.3.4 , but still needs to be tested in 7.4.

As for Journal who knows, we don't use it.

Backup and learn how to recover before you make any changes!

I just tested it on OpenCart 3.0.2.0 and 3.0.3.2 with PHP 7.4, and am getting the same errors from the scss.inc.php. I am not getting these errors on OpenCart 3.0.3.3 with PHP 7.4.

As regards Twig: No errors from there, though I agree it should be upgraded. Or even better, future releases of OpenCart should drop Twig altogether!

the change from Output compression level to 0 in Opencart apparently solves the problem of error 400

There remains now the problem of icons that do not load in the Front.
for icons for menu and others Journal3 use icomoon.ttf font
Journal2 use another technic.

what version of Journal3 you use?

after Journal 3.0.39 some compatibility for PHP 7.2 was added.

now I use OpenCart 3.0.3.2 ? Journal 3.0.46 and PHP 7.2.31 (on hoster).

Hi guys!

I run 2 sites with 3.0.2.0 .
One with Journal v3.0.46
And another with v3.1.8

Now guess what? The one with v3.0.46 runs without problems with PHP 7.4 while the newer Journal cant.
Any idea what is going on?

This forum thread is 4 years old, and this forum is for OpenCart. If you want to use the Journal3 framework you have to contact the Journal support. See also this forum thread!
