only 1 review allowed

Has anyone seen this problem? Recently enabled reviews in 7 year old OC 2302 store with Journal2 theme. Store only accepting 1 review per product, regardless of customer. I have a sandbox OC2302 from same time....reviews working correctly there. Turning off Journal2 theme does not fix problem. No review extensions or mod. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks, Rob

So, there must be one of the extensions causing this issue.

What happens when you try to add a second review? Any messages? Have you checked both the PHP and OpenCart error logs? Have you checked your web browser's developer console?

Turning off the Journal theme will not necessarily remove the changes it makes to core files.

So it's either Journal, an extension, or a change you made.

Turns out that there were 5 indexes for the database oc_reviews, but should only have 3...2 seemed to be duplicates, and one of them was the PRIMARY. I have backups going many years...found the error was in there many years ago, but as I had not been using reviews I just never came across the problem. I maintain a clean OC2302 installation from long ago, in which reviews worked correctly, and there I saw only three indexes for oc_reviews. So I deleted the dupes and reassigned the PRIMARY and viola things worked.
