Say, is anyone else having major issues with creating Products and Categories in this version?  When I try to create a category I get the very annoying " * Category Name must be greater than 3 and less than 32 characters!"   Which comes up even when I am in the bounds of 32 characters.
The same for Making a product.  However, also when I go to the product page and press INSERT in admin panel I get this error up top  " Warning: reset() [function.reset]: Passed variable is not an array or object in /home/content/w/e/d/wedolisten/html/publiccatalog/library/external/Tree/Factory/List.php on line 144"

Anyone know what that is?  I am no PHP  guru.  I am grateful for a free open source cart and would even donate something to the cause, however the only version I have ever had luck installing and using "somewhat" smoothly is 0.7.7

Thanks

Joe

Opencart Extras isn't officially supported by the OpenCart staff. It is only a packaged-deal created by a community member. IMO, OpenCart is still a bit new to be wrapping up into a package, and already has its own bugs to work on before introducing new ones.

I would recommend you install the latest 0.7.8 version from the www.opencart.com website, then immediately download the latest SVN version using TortoiseSVN to get the 0.7.current version patches with all the bug fixes.

That's the only proper way at this time, and that will give you the most stable and bug-free version to date.

"OpenCart Extras" is not written by nor supported by us here at opencart.com, it never has been and never will be.

The only version of OpenCart that is fully working and is official is the version i'm working on which can be found in the SVN under the name 0.7.current.

I recommend you use this until we release a newer version.

Ok, I got a private message which explained my problem.  Sorry about the incorrect post.

Take care
