Hi All,
For some reason all of our uploaded product images are 'dull'. This applies to the thumb image on the catalog page as well as the pop-up image. I've attached 3 images showing the original that was used for the upload as well as 2 of the size variants created by OC. Also, FWIW, I noticed that on the catalog page the <a> tag gets an opacity change to .8 while hovered. Not sure what is was before that or why.

Is the color space of the original Adobe RGB, instead save as sRGB. Any color space other than sRGB will have conversion issues when OpenCart resizes images.

(*Colour for our uk friends)

try saving in https://www.photopea.com/ if your unsure, but i have a feeling you will know.

So it looks like all of the photos from the client are in ProPhoto RGB. I did a test on one and converted it to sRGB in Photoshop and then deleted and uploaded the image in the store. It seems to be better although my browser is very stubborn about caching the old images.

Hopefully I can batch change the color profile in Photoshop for all 100 images. If I can do that is there an easy way to get the modified images into OC? Also, what exactly is happening to the opacity of the <a> element on hover? I see it change to .8, but what was it before and how is that interfering with the quality of the image?

Thanks.

If I can do that is there an easy way to get the modified images into OC? FTP them bavk over the the correct folders, but you will need to update each product in the store to the new image.

Also, what exactly is happening to the opacity of the <a> element on hover? I see it change to .8, but what was it before and how is that interfering with the quality of the image? its just adding an aesthetic-usability effect to the image on hover to show its selected, the mouse is over th image, it doesnt effect the image quality.

Thanks. I was able to use the image processor in PS to change the profile. I use that all the time, but never noticed the profile checkbox! Then I was able to batch upload the new images while editing the image for the first product (you can upload more than 1 image in the media manager). Then I was able to use the import/export extension in OC to change the path of the images for all of the products. Took less than 10 minutes to update 100 products. Thanks for the help!
