Hiding the shop in web folder whilst developing / populating.

Hi. I have just installed an Opencart setup into the folder of one of my domain names. Even though there html folders in there for the 'frontage' of the site, it is currently bringing up the Opencart shop if the domain name is entered, which is definitely not what I want.

What is the most practical way to hide the shop until it ready to go live?

Server is running Apache 2.4 and I know mod rewrite working as enabled the SEO URL's (after renaming .htaccess).

Version is Opencart 3.0.3.8 - maintenance edition..

In the admin backend, go to System > Settings > edit > Tab Server > Maintenance Mode, and set it to Yes.
