Hi All,
I’m having a little trouble installing Opencart-3.0,3.6. I’m on step 3, configuration. My hosting is Ionos and I set up the database but cannot find how to add an administration user and password. It also requires an email on the configuration page. Not sure what email that is. Hope there is enough info in this post.
Thank you,
Andrew

During the installation process, you have to provide:
1. database user & password: as defined earlier when creating the database itself in your Ionos administration
2. shop - admin name & password: as you define and you prefer (NOT admin or similiar!) to login later into the backend
3. email address: as defined in your email settings in your Ionos administration when you created a new email account for your shop (please don't use any *.Gmail accounts > highly unprofessional!)

Create your database user and password in you ionos control panel domain>databases - assuming you have a DB there and ready.
as OSWorX said create an email address on your Domain for the shop email also from your ionos control panel.
Then you will have the relevant details required
Also I think ionos do a 1 click install for OC on shared hosting

You should use the official Opencart download https://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=cms/download
I can confirm that the 1 click install is not a vanilla opencart which appears to be common practice in one click installs as such they actually unsupported.
and you should consider OC3.0.3.2 as 3.0.3.5 & 3.0.3.6 are unsuitable for newbies

Well done, glad to hear it.
Total newbie here but is this configuration you are following on the Opencart site or Ionos? Ionos hasn't been much help getting Opencart setup for me.andrewhorowitz wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 5:19 amHi All,
