2.x compatibility PHP 7.4.10

Hi,

I have PHP 7.4.10 version in my server and I want to use opencart. I downloaded the last version and saw that I would need another PHP. So, can anyone tell me which version is compatible with my PHP, without need of making changes of no kind no where (I mean, it just works without problems)?

3.0.3.8 would be compatible with PHP 7.4.

You could also use the latest from the 3.0.x.x_Maintenance branch on GitHub. Which is 3.0.3.8 with some extra bug fixes and PHP 8 compatibility.

If you are already using 2.x they it is still probably just as easy to fix the few minor compatibility issues then to upgrade.

2.0.3.2 is the last official OC 2.x version and would work with PHP 7.4.
With that being said though, as ADD Creative said, use 3.0.x.x_Maintenance branch as it is stable and supports PHP 8.x if you wish to move up in PHP version.

I know you didn't ask, but OC 4.x isn't ready just yet so 3 is your better bet at this time.

But if you like to stay with OC v.2.3.0.2, this Version linked below could be a posible Solution for you: ;)

Modified Opencart 2.3.0.2 to work on PHP 8.0, 8.1, 8.2. Ocmod extensions should be adapted to work with this version.
