You gotta do it eventually. How do you get rid of the stuff that hasn't sold for a few years?
I'm in the US. I've looked at Liquidation.com but that's less than optimal (also has a sucky reputation with buyers). Got a lukewarm offer from one company but haven't checked out many others.
What is it?
How much is it? One box/carton? Pallet load?
Would it be of use to those who need help the most? Food, clothing, toiletries? Donate it and write it off.
Could you use it as sales incentives? Buy this, get this crappy leftover free?
Break it into "shop size" packs and offer as "job lots" to c-store folks, flea market vendors, etc.

With the liquidation folks in general you'll be lucky to get the proverbial "dime on a dollar".
You might try some wholesale forums, or visiting local "competitors" who may take it off your hands for maybe a quarter on a dollar.
Or, find someone who sells similar goods in a shop, flea market, etc. and consign them a bit at a time and see what they can do. Come up with a "anything over this is yours" kind of price - cost or less on your part - and see what comes of it.
Without knowing the types of goods, it's hard to say more.

I did liquidate some stuff on eBay several years ago, then stopped when even they wouldn't buy what was left
Have not had luck selling in mixed lots on eBay...a pity.
