I am using opencart V 3.0.3.8 and opencart default theme.

I observed that sometimes, customer placing the order, but in admin dashboard, it is under missing order and without any customer details. Also customer can not find it in his account's order history section....

Please see attached image.
Customer details are empty... and order goes in Missing Orders.

What would be possible reasons ? Expired sessions ? Logout out customer automatically at payment / checkout page ?

Can we confirm if Customer is logged in while clicking on Order Confirm Button ?

What payment processor(s) are you using? If you're using more than one, check to see if all the missing orders are coming from the same processor. If so, you might have a configuration issue in the processor settings. Make sure the correct status is being set in the settings of the processor to reflect what you consider a successful order.

I think it is not related to Payment processor...... Maximum orders are placed successfully without any issue... But some are without customer details.... May be it is related to session or cookies.... I am not sure and currently unable to understand why this issue with some customers or orders only....

If it was a session problem I would of thought you would lose the cart and payment method. There is also a check for isset($this->session->data['payment_address']) at the start of checkout/confirm.

Check both your OpenCart and PHP error logs. If it was a session problem you would get lots of errors in checkout/confirm.

What payment, shipping and other extension are you using? Anything that changes checkout or accounts?
