I sell products packed in two different materials in two different pack sizes how can I use options so that customers can choose what material to use for each pack size without having to enter prices and weights four times please.
Basically I want the customers to be able to select pack type say plastic or cardboard then choose whether they want a 6 pack size or a 24 pack size.
Is this possible please?
Options are built into opencart, so just set them up under catalog > options in your admin, then add the options to the product.

In your casse, you would need dependent options.
lets asume product x
x can be bought in carboard or plastic
cardboard price 1 plastic 2
(option 1)
amount in pack 6 12 or 24
(option 2)
option 1 will set unit price while option 2 should multiply option 1 by amount choosen
(correct me if i did not understand your situation)

Sorry, but you need to be clearer with your problem description. A customer doesn't enter prices or weights at all. Please explain exactly what you try to accomplish. Most likely there will be suitable extensions available from the OpenCart marketplace.
