3.3.0.8 on PHP 8.1 production system

We need to manage offline sales in the OC backend. We do insert offline customers into the shop database.
We also enter their orders manually into sales to be able to follow up on them in the same place as online orders, since products and processes are nearly the same.
But when we enter such order manually we do not want that customer to get the email notification.

We would need:
An order status that is not sending a notification
or
A customer group that is not getting the order confirmation email
or
A disable-button for the order confirmation mail when manually entering/adding an order.

Hi guys!
I dont know how this normally works but I would like you to get in touch with me with a proposal.
All these maze-mails ” click here to reach out there” and than I do not get a reply from there… guys… think of customer experience!
You can post here or send pm for your offer or follow up questions. I will not chase you around 4 different messaging systems

How it "normally" works here?

One guy has a problem or want a new extension or something else.
He is willing to pay for it (of course, even death is not for free ..).
Qualified (hopefully) developers may answer.

Which means:
1. you accept when posting here, that the job is a commercial one (not for free - has to be paid)
2. when you do NOT state how you want to be notified (e.g. per pm or email or something else), you may get an answer to use the system teh dev is offering
3. the offer could be posted public (done nearly by none until yet) or by PM (for example)

What this section DOES NOT MEAN:
A. Only developers with experience with OpenCart should answer
B. Unfortunenately there is no "reputation system" for devs, so basically everone can answer here
C. Devs when answering, should NOT repeat and repeat the same (e.g. "I would be glad to assist .. " etc.) answer - nobody like to see such C&P answers!
D. To show that the dev is trustworthy, he should NOTuse any email provider like aol, gmail etc. - use an email address from the company you are working for
E. user signature should be used to display infos about the dev (e.g. link to his website, his work, etc.)

Summary: both parties should be clear in that what one expects and the other what he can do.
If the requester does not define how he will be contacted, he has to live with the answer(s).
If the request is not clear enough, don't expect to get many replies.

I just got tired a bit of everyone telling me to contact him in a different way and than not answering and ghosting me when I contact through the channel. Especially stupid when I also see the person(s) in question online at the same time. I guess its easier to do this with Fiverr than here.

To be clear:
If you can help me, contact me with your offer and proposed way of solving the riddle via PM. Don´t forget to state what you want to get paid.

Just to clarify: there is no OpenCart 3.3.0.8. Did you mean 3.0.3.8? If so, the latter won't work on PHP 8.1, it would require PHP 7.4.

I can appreciate that you don't want to discuss this in multiple locations, however its rare a post is usually specific enough to say what you want to achieve. Most developers have conversations to get a full understanding of what you want. That way you aren't disappointed in the outcome and the developer doesn't waste their time doing something that isn't right.

You're right about customer experience however you didn't ask people for a proposal, timescale etc which suggested you would go into further detail once you'd chosen a developer that had contacted you. Also, the online status can be misleading on the forums as the person may have been offline for a good 15 minutes or so and it still says they're online

Kind regards
Jay

Yes I meant 3.0.3.8 and yes I am running it on PHP8.1
Its from the maintenance branch- as broadly recomended in this very forum (cause oc4 does not work for production systems and php7.4 is no longer an option at my hosts)

Well .. why not writing that in your request (= 1. post)?
Now everyone who wants to make (and maybe then get the job), know how to contact you.
And if they do not follow your "wish", they should not post here.
