OC 2.3.0.2
Anyone ship to Colorado?
If so you know there is a $0.27 delivery fee that is taxable. Is anyone using an extension that does this? If so did you modify a current extension?
Thank you,
Mike

If you're using any of my shipping extensions, you should be able to add the fee into your existing cost by setting up a charge for it (limited by geo zone) and then add it into the normal shipping cost using a Charge Combination. That would wrap the cost into the "Shipping" line item.

If you are not using one of my shipping extensions, or you instead want it as a separate line item on the order, then you could use an Order Total extension. If it's just a flat fee, then the built-in Handling Fee extension should suffice. It has a Tax Class setting, so you set the flat fee, then tax its cost using the tax class.

If the fee structure is more complicated, then Formula-Based Fee/Discount can add a cost like that, you'd just need to make sure to add a rule so it checks the shipping address instead of the billing address:

Rule: Location Comparison = Shipping Address

Feel free to take a look at the screenshots and demo site, and if you're interested let me know at www.getclearthinking.com/contact if you have any questions.

I did try the built in handling fee but it applies the $0.27 to all states then based upon your info I searched and found "X-fee" and that seems to do the trick!

Taxes and fees everywhere I tell ya.
Thank you,
Mike

Sorry, I thought the Handling Fee extension had a Geo Zone setting for some reason.

I'm glad you found something that works. Hopefully there won't be other random fees added by states in the future! (Yeah right.)
